Midi Dresses for Spring and Summer

What’s one trend new trend that I absolutely love? Midi dresses! Initially I was iffy about them because they can give off a peasant/amish/1940’s housewife look, but now that they’re coming out in fun colors and prints, I’m all about them. Urban Outfitters recently had a flash sale on all of their dresses (those flash sales are for such a small window that you have to act quick!) so I scooped up a few to try out. End result? I love them! So I present to you, some gorgeous midi dresses for spring and summer!
The first dress is a neon orange midi dress with darling little ruffles on the upper waistline. This particular dress combines the midi dress trend with the neon trend and it’s absolutely adorable! I’m always drawn to warmer tones so it was only fitting that one of my first midi dresses was neon orange! This one could be dressed up or down. Pair it with flats and a jean jacket, throw on a linen shirt and knot it up to make it look like a midi skirt, or wear it with heals and a fancy purse!

This second dress is definitely more tame than the first. The beautiful cream tones and the waist tie give it a soft and feminine look. Since this dress is more neutral, you could wear lots of fun accessories with it- like these orange cat eye glasses! I love these dresses so much that I’ve expanded my usual online browsing selection to include midi dresses. And coming from someone who barely owns 3 dresses, that’s a big deal!
The cream midi dress is still available (and on sale!) and this dress is similar to the neon one. Some other dresses that I’ve been eyeing include this (always drawn to burnt colors), this (that flower print though! SO pretty!), and this (love the sky blue color!).
Hope ya’ll are geared up to have a fun weekend! I plan on taking it quite easy. I spent the week at a conference in DC for my job and I’m still recovering from it. It was my first trade show and it was for space and satellite companies. Let’s just say my head is still spinning from all of the knowledge I learned I did NOT know, ha! Thank you for reading 🙂
