So…I wrote out this blog post before I actually looked up the featured shirt. Turns out, it’s not linen and is actually a crinkly cotton. Major face palm, eye roll, self criticism moment. So, I refer to this as a linen shirt even though it’s not linen (it looked linen to me!). The link to it is here. But, whether linen or crinkly cotton, this shirt is a great wardrobe staple for the warm weather! So without further ado, here is my blog post on my “favorite fabric!”

I’ve noticed linen popping up a lot more in fashion. Shirts, pants, skirts, etc.. and I love it! Aside from wrinkling easy (nothing a hot iron can’t fix!), linen is a great material to wear. It’s breathable, comfortable, and very trendy. This particular linen shirt I’m wearing came from Nordstrom and I’ve worn it with so many different outfits! Jeans, dress pants, skirts, leggings, shorts, and…did I miss another kind of bottom? If I did, I’m sure it’s something I can wear a linen shirt with!

If you know me, you know that I’m a sucker for clothes that can be reworn and styled in multiple ways. Throw on a scarf and jacket and boom, you’ve got a cute cold weather outfit. You could also layer this with a silk cami, jeans, and strappy heels. The possibilities are endless! By the way, these shorts that I’m wearing are amazing! They’re so comfortable and super flattering. I struggle with finding a great pair of shorts because they’re either too short, too big in the waist, or too tight in the thigh region. But these are fantastic! High waisted without being too high that they give you a wedgie, and comfortable enough in the thigh area that you can still move your legs without feeling constricted. They do run big, so size down! I’m normally a 27 and purchased a 26.

My sister and I had a blast taking these pictures (can you tell by the big smiles? Pretty sure I’m tickling her in half of these, haha!). We snapped these just before her wedding. Hanging outside and frolicking around with her was the perfect way to spend her last days as a Mahlmann! In other news, I can’t believe it’s almost Memorial Day weekend. I’m going camping with my best friend for her birthday, and lord help us…this is the first time we will have gone camping without adult supervision (yes, sadly that is true at the age of 23). But to be fair, we don’t go camping all that often, ha! Fingers crossed we survive the weekend! And thank ya’ll for reading!
