Women Who Stutter: Our Stories

I’m sooooo excited to share this with ya’ll! (I’ve typed out some form of that statement so many times in the past two hours, ahhh!). Someone who I’ve admired for a while now is a woman who does wonders for the stuttering community. Her name is Pam Mertz and she’s a stuttering extraordinaire. She has her own stuttering blog, Make Room For The Stuttering, serves as a member on the NSA Board of Directors, and runs a podcast called Women Who Stutter: Our Stories. PLUS she works a normal day job. Talk about a major superhero! You can find more of Pam on her Twitter and Facebook accounts.

After thoroughly cyberstalking her website and podcast, I decided to reach out to Pam on LinkedIn. I was jumping up and down with excitement when she asked me to be on her podcast! She’s been running this podcast since 2010 and has had SO many amazing guests on it. I was so giddy (and still am) that I got to be a part of it. We discussed topics like stuttering at work, avoidance reduction therapy and why it works, and more! The episode is linked in the image below. You can also find it in apple podcasts – just search women who stutter and it’ll pop right up! Feel free to share this and leave a comment below letting me know what you thought about it!
